This a participatory process which creates a stimulating non-judgmental space for dialogue and idea-exchanges. It is a process of mapping where several interconnections can be made between thoughts and our journeys, separated by scenarios and time frames but together in context. There is a need for such a stimulating space to exist in the society today, where people could consciously address questions, share their experiences with honesty or even their vision among each other without any fear of being judged or criticized for their thinking.

This shared process allows the emergence of constellation of thoughts and ideas along with personal challenges in meeting them. It facilitates a space of awareness, responsibility and learning’s to discover how our individual issues are interconnected with bigger universal encounters.

This process co-creates dialogue that has the power to resolve conflicts by voicing out an array of questions and explore strategies towards solutions. The spatial emergence of shapes from the activation of thoughts through shared experiences demonstrates how connections are formed across both social and physical space. This exploratory method proposes the possibility to analyze the structure of various groups non-judgmentally. It investigates how individuals, places, and their surrounding objects interact with each other to shape their experience. This network of interconnections can be explored anywhere among different communities (corporates, artists, political activists, education institutions, womenfolk, students, etc.) to discover a ‘patterned groupness’ of fresh perspectives, intentions, relationships and ways of practice in the social realm.

Awareness of Human Suffering

Hieronymus Bosch, The Garden of Earthly Delights, oil on oak panels, 205.5 cm × 384.9 cm (81 in × 152 in), Museo del Prado, Madrid

It is believed that Hell is devoid of any benevolence. For each of us the definition of Hell is different at mental and physical level. I have always wonder about the possibility of reducing the suffering one endures.According to Buddha suffering is inevitable in human life. We are capable of creating heaven with love, compassion and mindfulness and hell through greed, anger, jealousy and misconduct. Our ‘Karma’ – actions determine our space of dwelling. Even in hell there is always a small possibility for acts of compassion which can reduce the effects of suffering and make it bearable.

In our materialistic world, we often gauge our value based on societal expectations like wealth, status, and appearance. Caught in a system that categorizes us according to these criteria, we lose sight of our personal values and aspirations. Society’s influence prompts us to prioritize norms over our beliefs and cultural backgrounds, fearing the label of a ‘pariah’ and aspiring to fit the mold of what is considered ‘normal.’ However, this ‘normal’ is merely a construct we’ve internalized, offering a false sense of assurance in our worth—a fabricated harmony.

Stripped of our ideals, conforming to the ‘norm’ may render us sterile vessels marching towards our demise. The misfits, who insist on maintaining their individuality, challenge this notion. They embody a completeness that stems from expressing their true selves, experiencing a natural harmony within. My artwork in this series personifies these misfits, pariahs, and deviants, highlighting their authenticity in a sea of artificial normality. Embracing their own nature, they find peace, depicted in the series through individuals who are part human and part not—the absence representing a connection with one’s roots. The naturalistic imagery captures the beauty of their retained individuality, defying societal pressure to conform.
