Nivedita Saha is an interdisciplinary artist based in Dubai. Her work is deeply rooted in mythology, folklore, religion, and spirituality, exploring the intersection between modern life and our collective cultural histories.
Her art encompasses the strange. The unusual, and the beauty that can be found within the uncanny. She aims to express an emotional state, rather than depict the physical realities we live in. It is a deep dive into the dark recesses of the unconscious mind, wherein the spirit often lays, curled up and hiding from the difficulties of the world we have collectively created.
Through her works, Nivedita hopes to express that all people are comprised of multitudes and that darkness is a fundamental aspect of our collective psyche. She invites viewers to look within and practice accepting the parts of themselves that they hide.
